Airsoft Revolver

You need to buy a gun but you've never used one. An airsoft revolver is an excellent learning tool. It feels and looks like an actual gun. According to Wikipeida, airsoft is a sport in which players participate in the simulation of military or law enforcement style combat using replicas of real firearms.

The vast majority of them are made in Asian countries where it is hard to get real firearms because of local laws. Yet, major American firms like Smith and Wesson are also manufacturing airsoft guns.

The airsoft revolvers include the HFC FBI Issue 38 Special Gas Revolver for $49.99 which comes in two colors, black and silver. The HFC Mauser C-96 Box Cannon Pistol for $99.95. There is also a Green Gas .357 Magnum Revolver Pistol FPS-250, Silver Airsoft Gun WA -GNB132S currently on sale for 77.97 along with the Smith & Wesson Spring UHC Model 500 Revolver FPS-230 Airsoft Gun SD-UA-941 on sale for $23.97.

One thing you'll immediately notice about airsoft revolvers and airsoft guns in general is a very wide price range. Some sell for as low as $3.99 (shortyUSA.com's CYMA Combat Delta Advanced M26 Spring Airsoft Pistol) on up to hundreds of dollars.

Unfortunately, sometimes the can malfunction. Customers who engage in the sport frequently complained that after being used rigorously a few times some of the airsofts didn't always shoot straight or the bb's would fall out of the stock.

As far as cleaning and maintaining an airsoft is concerned the Spring Air Pistol Python 6" Barrel Revolver (black) by UHC ($30.10 on amazon.com) and the Spring Smith & Wesson Model 10 Revolver FPS-230 Airsoft Gun SD-UA-937 ($22.97 hobbytron.com) claim to be the best. The Smith & Wesson claims to be tough and durable because it's made with few breakable pieces.

Tokyo Mauri was one of the first companies to manufacture airsoft guns and they are famous for having some of the most realistic looking airsofts on the market.

Most of the airsofts look so real that if you ever confront police even with a cheap airsoft revolver please let them know it's only a toy. Tragedy could result if you don't.

I began this article presuming that some who read this have never used a real gun. An airsoft gun would be an excellent learning tool because you have something that is nonlethal, easy to carry, and you can use in your backyard safely.

The fact that it feels and looks like the real thing also gives you some idea of how you would respond to an actual gun in your hand.

Gas powered airsoft guns use pressurized gas to propel pellets. Propane gas (called green gas), CO2, nitrogen, and HFC (tetrafluoroethane, an inert gas refrigerant) are the four types of gases most often used to power airsoft guns. Spring powered airsoft guns are single shot products that use a spring to launch an airsoft pellet. The user cocks a spring gun prior to each shot. Gun components of the spring airsofts include spring assembly, electic motor, battery, and battery charger.
